Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others are only set if you agree to them.

Cookies Pneusmart uses

Pneusmart sets two cookies of its own. Both are strictly functional: they remember a choice you made, and neither is used to profile you or shared with anyone.

ps_consent — records your answer to the cookie banner (granted or denied) so we do not ask again, and so we know not to load analytics if you declined. Lifetime: 1 year, set when you click Accept or Decline.

pneusmart_locale — remembers which market and language you chose, so visiting pneusmart.com takes you straight there instead of back to the country selector. Lifetime: 1 year, set when you visit any market page.

Neither cookie contains a name, an email address, an identifier that follows you between sites, or anything that identifies you personally.

Analytics cookies — only if you accept

If, and only if, you click Accept, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets its own cookies to measure how the site is used in aggregate. These are not loaded until you accept: the analytics script is not present on the page, does not run, and sets nothing while the banner is showing or if you decline. Declining is not a fallback that stops tracking after the fact — no tracking starts in the first place.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. That clears your stored answer and brings the banner back, so you can choose again. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as accepting. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. We do not require an account, and we do not have one to offer. We do not set any non-essential cookie before you have agreed to it.

Affiliate links

When you click through to a retailer, we add a random reference code to the link so the retailer can tell us the visit came from Pneusmart, which is how we get paid. That code is not linked to you, and it is generated fresh on every click. The retailer's own site has its own cookie policy, which we do not control.
